[About this place]

Weird is a creative performance marketing agency. If you don't know what that means, you're not at fault. There isn't really anyone else doing this. They're either creative, or performance. We're both. And we've been doing both for twelve years.

That combination gives us a perspective no pure creative agency has, and no pure media agency could fake. The creative knows what scales because it was made by people who've watched it spend. The media is read by people who wrote the ads. The two halves teach each other constantly. That's the whole bet.

Natural light and exposed beams create an inspiring workspace where creativity flows as freely as the conversation.

Impromptu discussions happen everywhere in our space. The best ideas often emerge between formal meetings, fueled by curiosity and coffee.

Our kitchen is where ideas percolate alongside the coffee. A space designed for both quick breaks and spontaneous brainstorming sessions.

Every project starts with a conversation. Our meeting rooms are designed for collaboration, where laughter is just as important as strategy.

Oh, don't ask us why we're called Weird.

Only the founder knows. And even he doesn't, really. He started this in 2014 and the reason has changed depending on his mood, the year, and how the meeting is going. Which, in fairness, is weird.

We've been making one argument for twelve years. It just took the market a while to catch up.

Most agencies separate creative from media. That made sense when the technical layer of media buying was the differentiator. It doesn't anymore.

What changed

In 2022, the math changed.

Media buying used to be the lever. The auction was loose, audiences were targetable, third-party data was gold. Then privacy laws came in. The targeting layer collapsed. Meta's algorithm took over the work media buyers used to do, and the old technical knowledge stopped mattering.

Creative is the new targeting

The ad became the audience.

What replaced the targeting layer is creative signal. Meta's system reads the ad itself — the imagery, the hook, the message — and decides who to show it to. Which means the ad has to be good. There's no targeting trick that saves a bad one. No audience lever that rescues weak positioning. The creative is the targeting now.

Which, for us, is convenient

This is the part we were built for.

Weird was always creative-first. We just spent twelve years doing it alongside performance marketing. The market shift means the thing we were always best at is now the only thing that matters, and twelve years inside Meta's auction means we know exactly what kind of creative the platform rewards.

What this means for the work

We don't get lucky. We build systems.

Brands that want to scale need a lot of creative. Constantly, on a loop. Each one rooted in positioning the brand has already locked. Each one designed to test a specific signal. The winners come from the system, not from a fortunate Tuesday. The process is the IP. It builds winning habits, not one-off events.

How this becomes brand building

The same signal builds everything else.

The creative testing loop doesn't just make better ads. It teaches us what the brand actually is. Which messages compound. Which images stop people. Which positioning customers respond to in their own words. That information flows into everything we build downstream — from the website that converts to the brand film that goes viral.

Meet the team.

The people who actually do the work.

Started Weird in 2014. Writes most of what the agency puts out, including this website, including the bad jokes. Currently obsessed with what AI does to creative strategy when you actually let it. Wants to spend more time on shoot floors and less time in spreadsheets, but the spreadsheets keep finding him.

Shashank Seksaria

Founder

The reason Weird actually runs. Handles every conversation that turns a stranger into a client and a client into someone who pays their invoices. Wears more hats than is reasonable for one person. If you've spoken to anyone at Weird, you've probably spoken to Shreeja first.

Shreeja Mahambre

Business Head

We've stayed in the same conversation for years. The strategist talks to the producer. The producer talks to the people running the ads. The ads tell us what the strategy got right. And so on. The agency is essentially a long conversation we haven't ended yet.

[What it's actually like to work with us]

Joined late 2025. Quietly became the bridge between strategy and production. Uses Claude better than most people use Google.

Radhika

Strategy & Copy

Designs the statics that scale. Been here long enough to read a brief and know what's missing.

Nimisha

Designer

The other half of the design team. Statics, brand work, and the occasional shoot day where she ends up styling.

Roshani

Designer

Shoots everything that moves at Weird. Quiet on set, opinionated about lenses.

Jateen

Videographer
