the positioning shift that turned ten products into one promise.

We built Brawny Bear in 2021. Five years later it came back with a new problem. The fix wasn't more spend it was a second positioning: ten products, one promise.

87% of buyers were one-and-done. PMAX ran at 0.61x. Brand Search was losing 83% impression share to Amazon, and the institutional side — Taj, Marriott, 200+ hotels — sat outside the D2C funnel entirely. The brand needed a story built for a catalogue the old one couldn't carry.

Creative Strategy

"Big Taste, Clean Ingredients" wasn't wrong — it's the reason Brawny Bear exists as a brand people recognise.

But it was a claim about the brand, not a want in the customer's head. And the hero ingredient, dates, was still sugar; "healthy because of dates" is a claim a sceptical customer pokes through fast.

We moved the promise outward: not "we use clean ingredients" but "we take the food you already crave and make it better for you." Dates went from headline to reveal — the mid-funnel "oh, that's how" moment, after the customer already wants the product.

That single shift let ten products behave like one brand instead of ten separate pitches — better peanut butter, better chocolate, better ladoos, each a fresh proof of the same promise. It split the funnel cleanly: brand promise acquires, founder content explains, UGC retargets. And it gave the copy permission to stop explaining and start talking like a brand sure of itself — "Nutella might sue us," "Aunty won't know. Your blood sugar won't either." Four channels, one story.

Creative Production

Twenty static ads a month across two directions, Cravings and New Kind.

A Ramzan shoot built around a 30-date Iftar Calendar launch. Founder and influencer video pipelines. 13 new WhatsApp flows on BiteSpeed. A corporate gifting funnel — landing page, Meta lead-gen, Google Search — built on the hotel credential. The yellow from 2021 still on every pack.

Shopify AOV climbed from ₹842 to ₹1,121 in a single quarter, with paid spend held flat. The positioning moved. Everything else followed it.
