the ₹2.5L brand film lost to a sticker that said "up to 10XL."

BYOGI makes handcrafted clothing through a foundation training disadvantaged women. Twice since 2021, the plainest creative was the one converting. Twice, we built the strategy around it instead of fighting it.

The catalogue spanned yoga wear, ethnic sets, sarees, loungewear — one undifferentiated store selling all of it in one voice. Years later the same instinct resurfaced: beautiful, meditative brand-film ads that built identity but gave a cold visitor nothing concrete to act on.

Creative Strategy

The first unlock was structural.

Rather than force one store to sell everything the same way, we split BYOGI into individually branded collections — different fonts, different styling, different campaign logic per line — so each could find its own winning condition instead of diluting the others.

The second unlock, years later, was almost the opposite move: subtraction. A plain brown muslin static, carrying nothing but a sticker reading "up to 10XL," had been quietly converting for well over a year while the polished brand-film creative underperformed beside it. So the messaging shifted from poetic to plainly functional — fabric truth, size range, one message per ad, never more. When the client later pushed to abandon that plain, functional voice for lifestyle storytelling again, we ran both side by side as a live test. The simple version kept winning, and the strategy survived being second-guessed by its own client, because the data got the final word both times.

Creative Production

Full site segmentation by collection in the earlier era, each with its own visual identity and campaign structure.

In the more recent phase: a half-day brand film shoot extracted into dozens of distinct edits across ten formats, a locked four-lane messaging system (craft, size inclusivity, fabric purity, function), and motion-first product pages built to match what the ads were now promising.

Twice, the beautiful version lost to the honest one. Twice, we built the strategy around what actually worked instead of what looked better in a deck.
